Case Air Software and App Update

Tether Tools has released an update to the Case Remote, the companion app for the Case Air Wireless Tethering System, for newly added camera support.

What’s New:

For Mac and Windows

  • Added support for Canon EOS RP/Canon EOS 1500D/Canon EOS 1DX Mark II
  • Added support for Nikon Z6/Z7
  • Maintain native camera file naming convention when new “Apply Unique File Name” feature is unselected in user settings

For Android and iOS

  • Now supports iPhone XS and 12.9” iPad Pro
  • Added support for Canon EOS RP/Canon EOS 1500D/Canon EOS 1DX Mark II
    • **The Canon EOS R/RP utilizes the new USB C connection. Please use the USB C cable that came with the camera connected to the USB Connector Cable (OTG) that is included with the Case Air, to connect to this camera.
  • Added support for Nikon Z6/Z7
  • File naming feature is not applicable to mobile app
  • Bug fixes

How to Update Your Android

  • Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device
  • Tap Menu and then My apps & games
  • Look for Case Remote and tap the Update button

How to Update Your iPad and iPhone

  • Go to the App Store app on your iOS device
  • Tap on Updates in the lower right corner
  • Under Pending Updates, look for Case Remote and tap Update to the right or simply tap Update All in the upper right corner

How to Update Windows

  • Download the latest version here
  • Extract the Zip file to your computer
  • Double click on the setup application in the extracted folder
  • Follow the on screen prompts

  1. I would love to see the interface cable be designed with a 90 degree angle plug instead of the straight one the Case Air comes with. A 90 degree plug would allow me to get the cable out of the way and the Case Air could be mounted close to the body on the left side. The system works well but the design could be greatly improved upon ….
