Connecting Your Relay Camera Coupler

Posted by: on Apr 18, 2017

While the Case Relay makes worrying about the charge in your camera battery a thing of the past, we do get several questions about the product from photographers, videographers, and reviewers – and even covered a few of them on TetherTalk.com.

One such question which we haven’t covered, but has come up is, “After I insert my Relay Camera Coupler, won’t my camera door be hanging open?”

The answer is no, camera battery doors actually have a rubber trap door to let the coupler cable to exit, and the door to close. Next time you have your camera out, open your battery door and look around for a small rubber trap door. Add-on battery grips also include a trap door for routing a coupler cable!

Case Relay meets the demands of filmmakers and photographers for whom consistent camera up-time is critical. Stopping video or photo production to remove cameras from stands to change batteries is a challenge of the past.  Case Relay’s secondary 1,200 mAh charge, means you can swap out power sources mid-shoot and maintain 100% uptime.

Case Relay is compatible currently with many Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Fuji, Olympus, and Black Magic cameras and can be powered by any 5V USB power bank any 2.1+A USB Wall Adapter or any Dtap (VMount) battery system.  It can also power any monitors and accessories that use the Sony NPFL Series batteries.
